I used to have those on my Carvin BB75 back in the late 90s. I thought they were nice. Sure, they were expensive, but they held their tone about 3X as long as other strings. I should try another set one of these days. Don't think they'd look quite right on the instruments I currently own, however.

Love them, very stiff for their guages, want to try a 5er set sometime.

We're all different . I tried a set around two years ago and couldnt get on with them at all. They sounded like a broken in set of Rotosounds to me, but the Rotos were half the price, and more pleasant for me in stiffness.

Even though they cost £10-£15 more than other strings, they were in the bin (thats trash in the US ) a couple of weeks after buying. Which I realise (now!) was a bit silly as I could have probably sold them and regained a bit of loss.

Not on a bass, but I had a guitar strung with a 0.10 set. They are stiff for their guages, and lasts VERY long. I usually need to change guitar-strings every 2-3 months or so (due to snapping, or tone-loss), but I had the last set for 6+ months, and they were still nice in tone, and no string-breakage. Perfect for down-tuning!
