Optima Gold strings and Fast Fret

I normally use Fast Fret on my DR strings. It helps (a bit). I have ordered some Optima Gold stings now, just to change things up a bit. Will the Fast Fret mess up the gold coating on the Optima strings?

I doubt it, they are pretty rugged, atleast to my understanding, and i have been playing them exclusivly on all roundwounded basses the last 6 months..

Great. So you like their sound then... How long do they last without using Fast Fret or other stuff like that?

mmm.. I had them on the Warwick for about 2 months before i decided to move on to flats on it, i sold them with the strings, and as far as i know, the optimas was still in good shape when they arrived..

I dunno, i realy dont think about stuff like that, when my strings die ill just clean em and put em back on. though i think my current set have been on the bass for about a month, maby a little more, an they still have plenty of punch and power.
