Passive 5r's, live with no amp.

Well, this is a stretch.....I'm nearing the end of my string search for my passive 5'r, and I'm curious if you guys out there, feel there are strings that cut thru the mix better than others.....sans amplifiers on the stage; house mix only! Flats, rounds, grounds...tell me what works best for you, or which strings just didn't cut it.
