Question Pedulla Steels

Sign in to disble this ad
I am about to buy a set of Pedulla 5 string steels but given the lack of money these days I thought I would see if anyone has a lot of experience with these. I am looking for a steel string without a midrange scoop. I have been a fan of Labella steels but they do not have my preferred gauges of 45-65-80-100-128T.

I understand the Pedullas have a taper B for bridge terminaton on a 34" scale. Are any of the other strings tapered?

Thanks,

Dave

I have used Pedulla Strings quite a bit. I'd say that they are very even sounding and they don't have a big mid scoop. They actually taper the B, E, A and D strings on all of the available sets. Michael just e-mailed me about why they taper their strings. Basically his concept is to get the string to bend better over the bridge and be more flexible. They really are great strings. 10 times better than DR Longneck tapered strings.
