pete cerera flatwounds???

Does anyonbne know if peter cetera used flatwounds on his Fender and gibson basses in the early days with chicago? and id so what brand????

Bass Player had an interview with him a few months back. Pete did say he used faltwounds for the classic era Chicago albums (CTA-11) on his basses. I believe he still does. I cannot recall what brand he said he used, or even if he did say.

Back then, almost certainly La Bella. Maybe Fender flats.

Yes, I concur- just listen to the intro to "I'm A Man" on the first album.

Theres a photo of him on his website with a P-Bass with flats on it. He only has three basses now I believe, because he dosen't play much bass any more. A Fender Jazz, a Hofner Beatle Bass, and another that I can't recall. He used quite a few different basses with Chicago. Fenders, Music Mans, Rickenbackers, Gibsons, ect. A fantastic player who dosen't get the credit he deserves as a bassist.
