Piccolo Strings for 24" Scale

I have a relic from my childhood that hasn't seen the light of day for years, so I'm thinking of turning it into a piccolo bass. I wondered if there are any piccolo strings for 24" scale basses.

Good point. Do piccolo basses generally have strings of the same gauge as guitar strings?

Heh. Yep.

I even use guitar strings on my 31" scale 5 string piccolo bass.

+1 I used regular guitar strings to turn my EBO into a piccolo.

[confusion]

24" scale?!?! Isn't that less than a guitar?

Lokire, yup. Most guitars (Fender-style) are 25.5" and Gibsons are, for the most part, 24.75". Some guitars like the Fender Mustang and Tornado are shorter scales, I think 24" actually, but at that point you're not even talking a "piccolo bass." It's a guitar in an alternate tuning, lol.
