Hey guys, i live in the UK and for some reason we dont have anywhere near as many different gauge strings compared to you.
I have joined a band and will be playing in CFA#D#.
As my guitar is set up to standard i want some heavy strings, best i can find here is .110, and i want heavier.
Say if i bought a 5 string set, would i use the BEAD strings, or would i use the B, disregard the E string, and then use the ADG.
Im just thinking if i used the BEAD, and lost the G, it would be a much heavier sound over all.
Im thinking of getting a set which is, .120 .95 .75 .55 . 40, and just loosing the G string.
That sound ok?? |

I use one of my guitars constantly for CFA#D# all the time, and I use the same .45 to.105 strings in it, sounds clear and clean, with no "loose string" rattle and all I did was had to adjust the truss rod just a little. Been playing it that ways for a couple years with no hassles.
what guitar are you playing that you want to do that with?

BTW I use a Fender American Deluxe Jazz |
