I searched for a flatwound poll, didn't find one, so here it is.
My story - I recently converted to flats by putting TI Jazz Flats on my G&L Tribute L-2000. I'm going to try Chrome Flats in the next week or two.
So, what is your favorite brand? If you have more than one, multiple choices are permitted.

I lke GHS Precision Flats for old school sound, TI Jazz flats for their brighter sound and less tension, and Chromes for their middle of the road sound between them.

FG | If someone could post that link it would be appreciated. I did searches for "poll flat" and "favorite flat" but came up with nada.

| | | | I voted for GHS Precision Flatwounds. These strings are great for the classic flatwound sound. I have used the D'addario Chromes and find them too bright,if I want a "bright" tone,I use roundwounds. |

| | | | You have TI Jazz listed then you have TI nickles listed in your poll. I'm pretty sure the Jazz flat's are the nickle flats, iow, they're the same thing.
The TI's whatever you want to call 'em are the only flats I'll grudgingly use if I just can't get the sound I'm after with either DR Sunbeams or Highbeams.

I'm not sure about the DR Hi Beams. One guy in another thread said, possibly mistakenly, that there are DR Hi Beam flats (I know that DR also makes Hi Beam roundwounds). Another guy in this thread said basically the same thing, so I'm stumped.
