Is it possible to take the strings off your bass then put them back on?

I got soem Elixirs thanks to that survey, but if I hate them can I put my old strigns back on possibly? I mean, what do I have to do?

You have to take the elixers off and put the old ones back.

Nothing special to do, you may just need to straighten the ends out a bit to get them through the bridge a second time.

with my first bass i restrung it about 15times with the same strings just so i could practice nothing bad happened but it did kill the strings

The thing is, constant stretching and restretching the strings may lead to a quicker death...but it should be fine.

Hm...maybe I should try out one of the sets of elixirs I've now got? :P
