Power vs. Regular Ernie Ball Slinky

Hi there,

I'd need a quick help to decide what are the best strings for me and my SR5 HH.

It comes with Regular Slinky strings from Ernie Ball and I like them. My (short) experiences with other bass is that I usually enjoy more the heavier gauges, therefore I wonder if the Power Slinky (each string is 0.05 heavier than the regular) will bring more benefits to me.

Anyone has compared the 2 , possibly on a Stingray 5 ?

I've had Power Slinkys, regular Slinkys, and Super Slinkys on my Sterling. I thought I needed the Power Slinkys because I kept getting fret clack in my sound, and I needed a tighter string. They were much tighter than the other 2, but it ended up that they weren't anywhere near as playable. It was a technique issue that I was having, not a string issue, so I threw some Super Slinkys back on there, and worked on my feel. Now, I'm much happier with the Super Slinkys than the Power Slinkys.

But you may have a different issue/playing style/ideal sound.
