Pressurewounds versus Half Rounds...

Sign in to disble this ad
I've used GHS Pressurewounds, and Sit Silencers (also a pressurewound) and like both of these strings. I've been hearing good stuff about D'addario's ENR series, nickel half rounds.

Has anyone compared the pressurewounds to these half rounds?

My question is... are the half rounds perfectly smooth like a flat, or do they have more of a compressed wound surface feel?

Where I'm going with this is, as much as I love TI Flats, I find that when playing in humid conditions, they tend to get a little sticky feeling and make playinig faster lines difficult. I usually grab a bass with pressurewounds when this happens, and am wondering if the half rounds would work well, and are worth trying.

Thanks.
