Ok. I've been an avid fan of GHS Pressurewounds (med), for years now. Everytime I get a bass, or even borrow one, I string her up with the GHS.
I'm itching to try the D'Addario Halfwounds. Anyone ever compare the two?

The corners really ate up my fingers and I never found them comfortable. I also really dig the pressurewounds, but I don't like that the Low B is only .128 - I need a heavier guage

Another possiblity: GHS Brite flats. I like thier tone and feel a little more than the D'Addario Half-Rounds. They are ground-wounds as well. |

For all I know, they're the same string with different packaging.

I love the Ken Smith Compressors (for fretless), and I think they are the same strings as the GHS Pressure Wounds in different packaging.
The groundwound Ken Smiths are better than the D'Addario Half Rounds. The D'Addarios stick to your fingers and don't fret well. They just feel awful.
I have yet to try the SIT strings, but they do look interesting.

I found XLs were too harsh
the light gauge half wounds were one of the best strings I've used on a Precision
to each his own
