From Prosteels to Groundwound or Chromes fretless tension

Can you D'Addario Groundwound & Chromes users tell me what guage you recommend.

I'm using Prosteels on my fretless right now & want to switch w/out the tension being drastically different. Prosteels are pretty firm. I'm using .105-.45 w/a tapered .130B.

If I get groundwounds would you recommend getting .100-.40 set w/a tapered .130 or .125 B since they have more tension?

SIT Powerflats are just a bit tighter feeling than the D'Addario Half-Rounds... which are similar but just slightly tighter than the Pro Steels.

Tone wise the Half-Rounds make me long for the Stainless rounds... they are expressive flat strings but too close to a dead round. The Powerflats have a killer dark & thumpy tone while still having a bit of the roundwound overtones... I still have them on 2 of my basses.

I heard D'Addario Half Rounds has firm tension. If you want to keep the tension high, going to them wouldn't hurt, from what I've HEARD.

I started a thread about Half Rounds recently. You can probably get it on this page or the next.
