Does the fact that tapered strings have less mass than non-tapered strings make them a lighter gaue than posted? Like, is a tapered .125 B going to be more floppy than a non-tapered .125 B? Also, is the only purpose of them to allow the string to sit lower on the saddles, closer to the fretboard, and thus a lower action?
