Decided it was time to do a string change on my ray. I have been using medium GHS Bass Boomers on it for a while now.

At my local music shop they had twin packs (2 for the price of one) of D'Addario EXL165TP. They are: .045 .065 .085. .105 nickel round wounds. Cost me about $50 AU which is good value considering the GHS where $65 AU for one set.

They are a nice feeling, pretty bright sounding, set of strings. They make a nice pop sound on the Ray
Im not too keen on the colour coded ball ends they use, but whatever...

You may like to try em out
