Exclamation putting new strings on a headless

Sign in to disble this ad
OK, so i just received a washburn status headless bass last week. It came with flat-wounds which i wasn't particularity too happy with but i kept em for abit. now last night i attempted to throw on some new DR strings (KEEP IN MIND THIS BASS CAN USE SINGLE OR DOUBLE BALLED STRINGS) I just cant seem to get it right im trying with just one string but when i tighten it, its right up against the frets and ive spent sooo much time on it trying to fix. PLEASE ANYBODY THAT KNOWS HELP!!!

Those seem like sweet basses. Nothing strange about the string being up against the frets, there's not enough tension on the neck at that point. If all else fails why not challenge a friend to figure it out for a beer.
