Question Question about chrome's...

Sign in to disble this ad
To start, I played my stock SX flatwounds on my fretless, I hated them.
The low B sustained for like, a second.
So, would the chrome's B sustain like that as well?
Thank you!
P.S. I tried other strings on it prior to putting the flatwounds back on, the other strings sustain was fine.

Sustain is almost always a problem with the bass itself, and how it was set up, not the strings.

+1, yet flatwounds (in my experience, etc) tend to sustain just a little bit less than roundwounds. If you like flats, get the Chromes (they're my personal favorite string!) Rounds will increase sustain a bit, but have the bass set-up.
