Question about gauges

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been playing 105 , 85, 65 and 45 gauge strings for, oh, I don't know, 20 something years now and am thinking about trying a lighter gauge on my Jazz.

My question is, what do you you use and why? What are the pros and cons of going with a lighter gauge?

I play rock and use a variety of techniques (pick, fingerstyle and slap). Usually tune in E or Eflat.

Thanks.

Lighter gauge, it's easily to play fast runs, and generally more smoother to play.

The con is that the sound won't be as "full"

I'd suggest .95s I know rotosound makes a set, and they were REALLY good.
