Question about La Bella Quarter rounds
Hello people! I just got myself a new set of La Bella Quarter rounds (light, 760ql) and one thing bothers me.
The G-string is more like a flatwound string than a "quarter"round. Does anybody know if this is normal?
The other strings are the way their supposed to be: round with about quarter of the surface shaved off. I've had some halfwound strings in the past and even in those sets the uppermost string has still had some "roundwound"-quality.
Any help would be much appreciated!
I had similar consistency issues when I tried the quarter rounds a few years back, in effect it was similar to a mixed set of flats and rounds. No one at LaBella QC's these sets.
Thanks for the reply! Now this does not sound good...
Otherwise I quite like these strings but right now it really feels like there is one string for a different set.
The outer windings on the G strings are fine to begin with. There is not much to shave off so the slightest amount too much results in a flatter string than the others.
Contact them directly with any string issues.
But La Bella has been contacted, we'll see what they have to say.
