I have a set of elixers that I bought cheap before realizing they were long scale. Can I still use these on a 34"?

Thanks for any responses

Long scale generally is 34", which is odd since 34" is the most common scale length. Check around the package and see if it mentions 34" anywhere.

I thought that regular scale was 34" and that long scale was 35" ...

35" is extra-long scale. 34" is standard long scale.

sorry to kind of steal your thread...
but does anyone know what scale an Ibanez GSR200 is?
i just purchased some strings that were Boomers long scale plus, without paying attention to it. I put them on, and realized that they might be too long, seeing as i have some of the string wound around the tuning peg thing on the the G string.

would i have to re-set up my bass if i change down to long scale, once those wear out?
