Question about my ESP LTD B-104.

Hey guys,

Sorry if i seem really stupid with the questions i ask, i've been playing since i bought this bass and if i say so myself, i still suck at playing bass.

I bought myself an ESP LTD B-104 about a year and a half ago and i'm starting to get annoyed with how floppy the E string is, especially since i tune it down to D quite a lot, i just wanted to know what strings are used on it when made so i know what to replace them with, i know they are roundwound, but i'd like to know what gauge they are etc.

I think i'd like to get thicker flatwound strings as i'd prefer a deeper tone and i believe it would increase the string tension... Any help with what to increase the gauge to would be much appreciated too.

They come with daddario 45-105 gauge strings stock unless theyve changed. Have you had the same strings on all this time? Changing to new ones even same as mfg used would improve both tone and fit Id think. lol. For excellent tone with extra bass accent DR sunbeams would be great choice imo. You do know that center detent is flat for both the bass and treble controls and that little boost for bass or little cut for treble as well as tilting the blend toward neck a little will increase its bass balance?
