| Every brand is different, some by a significant amount (maybe as much as 2".)
Some short-scale sets are too short for a 30" scale bass with a string through body (D'addario - buy medium scale instead.) Other short sets fit such a bass just fine (DR, Fender.)
I believe SIT Strings publishes their short scale sets as having 32-1/2" windings.
