A question for TI Jazz Flats users...

I want to string mine through the body of my 08 American Std. Jazz. Should I be worried about them breaking? I want them to last a long time, but will they break quicker with those hard break angles coming out of the hole at the bottom of the bridge and at the saddle?

I had no problem with them breaking by stringing them through the body on my 2004 MIA Jazz. The only item of contention is the G and maybe the D will only get 1 wrap around the tuning post. This presented no problems in playing though.

Yep, TI's are generally fine with string-through-body.

I've got my TI flats through the body on my new P5 and they're fine. And I got two and a half wraps around the G post too.

no pbs with my FBass BNF 5 either

on my fretless I changed the OEM Fbass strings to JF 345.

had to change the blank saddle on the ebony bridge , in order to maintain a reasonnable action-height , but no pb for the strings , even the low B.

I wanted T/I JF because I know these are in the best inclass strings category , if not the best ever.

Don't forget JR 344 as well : round wound nickel. very good on jazz bass , even if the low tension might be disturbing in the first place

Jazz E-Bass 4-string set Round Wound
