Quick Question about Strings for Bad Ass bridges

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm installing a Bad Ass on my MIA Jazz, and I'm reading on the Fender site , in the string descriptions that they are designed for " through the body " Fender Bass Bridges. HUH? I never heard of this before. I thought all long scale strings could be used on any bridge. What do you guys use with your Bad Ass bridge? I'm currently using Fender Nickleplated Steel Roundwound Super Bass 7250's and I would sure hate to switch.

There are 2 bridges you need to worry about; the BadAss II and BadAss III. The II replaces Fender 5-screw top-loading string bridges. The III replaces 3-screw string through body bridges.

What they mean is, the strings are long enough to fit when strung through the body (some strings aren't).
