I got a pack of R. Cocco steels for my Fbass a few weeks back and love the sound and feel of them. Still, I miss having that "focus" that the old B string had and want to get an R. Cocco tapered B string to try out. I notice the specs on their website mention a 2.5" length of bare wire before the string starts, which seems awfully long to me.
Anyone have experience with R. Cocco taper core or exposed core strings? Any problems with intonation?
