Hey guys,
am wanting to re-string my bass before a huge huge gig am gonna get chance to play at and I would love to know what strings you would you recomend for a deep-sounding reggae-style bass sound.

My band is a mix of Reggae music and Alternative Rock
Some samples of music

I play a fender jazz bass if that helps...

Please post your sugestions with a brief exsplantion.
thanks for your time

Your sample link is broken.

There is toooooons of information on this forum regarding reggae/dub sound. Perform a quick search. To get you on a great path for reggae, you cannot go wrong with a set of flats. Avoid stainless steel. If you must have roundwound strings, look into nickel-played steel, pure nickel strings, or pressure/ground wounds.

I'd vote flats or half rounds so they're in between rounds and flats and you can always roll the tone off for a deeper dub
