What set of strings do you use for your 6 string bass?

I use the Elixir's that came on my Ibanez, but I really dont like the coating that they are covered in.

I want a set of roundwound strings with a tapered B.

Thanks for any help.

I have liked Ken Smith SS on all my basses best, next would be DRs. I believe either of these offer tapered Bs, SS or nickel.

Since I tried them I now use newtone strings.(I use 5 string however )
They are a bespoke string maker who will pretty much make you what you need at very fair prices and delivering high quality.
www.newtonestrings.com is their website.

i just ordered some strings from Carvin for my 6 string. They are made for Carvin by Labella and are extremely cheap! They have a medium gauge and a medium lite gauge and the B string is tapered.

Yes I have. I have tried both the 66's and the 77's. I prefer the 77's. I tried them on a 4 string bass though and i'm unsure if Rotosound makes a 6 string set with a tapered B. If someone could tell me if they did I would be eager to try them.

When I was a 6er, the only strings I liked on every bass I had were Dean Markley SR2000 medium light. These are ss tapercore. Very even from. Bottom to top.

I saw these but they are a little too light for my taste. I prefer a .130 B string and at least a .30 C string.
