The rounds are still La Bellas. |

I like them, but the D & G have a brighter, different tone than the E & A strings. They seem almost like they're from two different sets, but when they all break in, they should be more balanced. I've also used GHS Precison flats, which are awesome for thick, vintage tone.
But if I bought a Precision V, I'd probably use Chromes. IMO/E, they are a fabulous match for stock American Fender P-bass pickups, and I assume this would be true on the fiver. They sound thick and punchy, but not muddy.
