Red cotton round at top, blue at bottom strings

Remembered the other day about some strings that were on my Fender Bullet a long while ago when I got them, and they were cotton wound near the ball end, and blue at the peg end. l Seem to remember them sounding pretty awesome, apart from they were stainless so a little too bright, anyone know what they might be?

Rotosound Steve Harris signature set?

Steve Harris signature set. Steve’s custom gauge flatwound set with his favorite West Ham colours on the silk ends. All he has ever used throughout his career.
As I have said for years, I hate rotosound and cant see why people buy them. However, that is just my opinion, make your own.

They definitely weren't flats, but cheers.

What's wrong with Rotosound anyway? I've heard alot of grief toward them, but I've never played them.

Nothing is wrong with Rotos, except that the rounds don't keep their highs for very long (depending on the player), and they are rough on frets and fingers (also relative to the player).

Nothing sounds like them, though. I get a few more gigs out of the SS rounds by soaking them in denatured alcohol, and fret wear isn't an issue for me.
