Would probably look pretty cool until the strings started banding from fret wear. Once that happens they'll look like coral snakes on your bass. Personally, after trying my first set I went elsewhere.

I have the peacock blue one on my am deluxe jazz in sunburst. Yea i no sounds like a weird color combo. Buy it actually looks good. This is my first time trying dr coated strings and i wouldn't buy them again. They are too bright for my tastes. They look cool buy i dont like the tone. So i won't buy them again. If you like ultra bright strings then buy them. I prefer nickle strings myself.

I had the red ones on my red Jag for a while, and it really worked well until the coating started to come off where I was picking. I recently switched to the blue set for a red white and blue kinda feel, but I don't like it quite as much. I also have a pink set on my all black corvette, and it looks pretty sweet imo. I wanted to put a black set on my P, but flats sound way too killer to change it up.
