Just put a set of the GHS Rene Martinez strings on my P-bass, and I'm impressed. Very nice Alloy-52 sound, and nice clear E string. I'm wondering, though, if they're just a somewhat longer set of Progressives, since the characteristics - Alloy 52, taperwound E - are pretty much the same. The RM sigs. are said to fit 34"-35" basses, and I think the Progressives are 34".
