replacing a string

Sign in to disble this ad
im just curious....how many pple here only replace one string if it pops????or do you just chance the whole set??? i bought a twin set of EXL170-5 and used 1 set as soon as i got them. i also still have my EXL 170 when i used them on my 4s. i doubt the Bstring pop being that its so thick, so i will probablt just replace a single string.

I just replace one string unless the whole set needs replacing.

if you changing just one string, try to buy/find same string as your set.

I have actually never managed to break a string, but if I did I would replace the whole set for sure. As the chances are the replacement string will be a much different age (unless the set is brand new, which is unlikely) than the others, so has a very good chance of sounding inconsistent with the rest of the set.

Basically imagine putting a brand new string, full of zing, with a set which is dead, that new one is going to stand out in most cases.
