Restringing to BEAD

Sign in to disble this ad
This band wants me to play for them and instead of me going out and buying a 5 string I'm restringing one of my 4 strings BEAD. Is there any best way to do this or anything I should look out for other than obviously having to set it up after the restringing?

Dending on the bass be prepared for some truss rod and/or saddle height adjustments. I've been playing BEAD for the past three or so years exclusively and really the main thing is the scale of the bass that impacts on how well a given bass ports over to BEAD (34" minimum..greater than that even better).
