Hello.
I have a Warwick Vampyre Dark Lord.
As some of you know it's a monster in regular tuning.
Which is F#BEA.
But playing in a metal band that always plays in DGCF tuning, makes the regular tuning kinda hard to manage.
I Heard that with a setup i could handle EADG tuning. So i Tuned it to DGCF just to see if it would work.
It did and it's just incredible.
And getting to the point, has anyone tried to put a string retainer on a detuned bass? In this case it would just be the .135 and .175 strings... Would it make any difference at all?
