Right now on mine I've got some R. Cocco strings, but trust me, they're getting replaced by low riders ASAP

I like ernie ball on my 6. GHS on everything else, but I very much so enjoy my EBs. I think they're super slinky's.

Regardless of string number (have used 4, 5, and 6) I used DR.

Preferably Hi-Beam.

Conklin's Snakeskin strings. Works really well with the piezo.

Dingwalls, SS roundwounds. They seem to be regular gage but play like light gage. I'm using them on my Xotic XB-2 and Thunberbee 6, and although I've found sixes difficult to play in the past, I think these two basses are the most comfortable and easy to play instruments I've ever owned. Plus, they are tonally very even, punch, focused, and last forever.

I'm a convert. I liked the way they worked on my Dingwall Zebra 5, but I didn't think they'd be so killer on my sixes. I'm sold.

Thanks I am considering DR's - I will check the Dingwalls - I don't need slanted frets I assume : ).

The Bass has stock Spectors on it which actually sound good - I believe they are stainless - except they turn my finger tips black.

Any more 6 players that can recommend a good set of Strings. The Bass is a Legend 6 by the way. I am also leaning toward a slightly heavier C - so far I have seen 35 C's on some sets.

Anymore feedback on what you string your 6'er with Bizump?

I am leaning toward DR's cause they get so much good press here.

Just not sure if I want to try the High Beams or the Lo Riders - the Bass is a Spector Legend 6 - with Spector Stainless Steels on it now - which I like and could consider staying with (they are cheaper).

What say you TB?

I don't play 6 stings but what I will tell you is this...I bought my first pack of DR Hi-Beams today...and let me tell you, only buy those puppies if you dig BRIGHT (and I mean very bright and zingy) tone. Just when I was changing my strings today, I could hear them zingin' across the frets! Man these things are crazy bright!
