Ritter Swordsteels?

I have a Peavey Grind NTB 5, which is currently strung EADGC. I am starting to desire a low B, and was wondering if these incredibly expensive strings would be worth putting on this mid-level bass. I like the way the bass plays (even though I know with a professional setup it would play a lot better, I just kinda changed the strings to a completely different tension and didnt mess with anything else) and the way they describe the tension and feel of these strings sounds ideal for me. Any opinions or experiences?

I have them on my Ritter Roya, and the big advantage (I have had D'Addario nickles on previously) is the evenness of tone from string to string. I suspect that this would carry from one bass to the next ... so go ahead.

How long have you had the Ritter Swordsteel strings? Any idea on how long they last compared to more 'standard' strings? I would hope that strings that expensive would last a good long time, ya know?

And how's the tension?
