Rock strings

Hey guys, ive just formed a new band, my previous band played in C tuning, therefore i had my bass setup to C with strings etc. Im going to get it set back up to standard tuning, and i was wondering if there are any paticvular strings which are better for my style of music! its a rock / punk band in the style of mxpx, so i need my bass to cut through. I use a mia Jazz.

Thanks

Try any roundwound and learn to get the tone from your hands.

Ok, ill try again:

Give more details as to what sort of a sound you want, cutting through can often come from the amp.

For rawk, there are literally dozens of makes & models that could apply. Start with stainless steel roundwounds, and experiment from there. If you haven't tried 'em before, Rotosound Swing Bass 66's would be a good place to start...
