A second question.
I play an Ibanez GSR200.
What specs do I need in hand in order to get new strings?
I'm a huge noob when it comes to the actual technology of the instrument.

Ha.
Leads to a third qustion (pardon my noobishness).
What are the differences in gauges, as far as lower and higher. Do they produce different sounds? And if so,what are the differences in sound they produce.
And also, what is the longscale part of the equation?
I'm sure this is all covered in a sticky if someone would like to direct me to said sticky.

I've only ever seen him use PJ basses. Don't know how he has the pickups balanced.

Flats? Really? I always figured rotosound rounds.

Either way, P-bass.
