I haven't played Roto 66 steels in a long time, a few years.
Bought them on a whim for my new Jazz Bass
The tone is godly, at least for now (heard stories about them going dead quicky?)
The tension is nice, able to get lower action than with my usual Sunbeams.
The worst part so far is the 'stickiness' under my plucking fingers. I don't remember this from last time I played rotos.
Is this just inherent of the more abrasive steel strings? Will it go away in time? It's really messing with my fingers. With a pick, however... the tone is amazing and no problems!
