Roto Tapewound intonation problems...

Sign in to disble this ad
I have read in several threads on this forum and others about Rotosounds Tru Bass strings having intonation problems on the E and B strings. Has anyone here currently using a set, noticed this problem? or is it simply a matter of other users either not properly intonating their bridges or fingers (unlined fretless)?

Dont do it! I have played on every kind of string you can imagine, and I have to say without a shadow of a doubt, Rotosound truely suck!

get some D'addario strings. They are just glass like, long lasting, great feel and affordable. I really cant say enough good things about them... so here is Mr Devin Townsend to tell you!

I have not experienced these intonation problems myself. Roto Trubass are awesome strings btw , awesome sound to them , nice deep and thumpy sound

Markdavid,
I have to agree with you whole-heartedly, although Kyral didn't seem to thrilled with them. To each his own I guess :: I just gigged with them last night, and except for a slight lack in sustain, these babies sound incredible. Lots of meat and lower mids. I love 'em.
