Rotosound Billy Sheehan Swing 66's

Anyone run these strings?

I didn't know this model exisited. I always though a perfect set (for me) would be the regular gauge A, D & G but with a 110 E. Then I stumbled on to these. I can get them online for the same amount as Ernie Balls ($19.99 w/ free shipping). I think I'm going to try a set and would be interested to hear your opinion.

Have you ever tried the regular Swing 66's? That's my only caution. I found them to be very tough on the hands, and too "clanky" sounding.

That said, some people love them.

Interesting. Thanks for the feedback. I'll try them and then post my opinion.

The question is, besides gauge, is the stainless steel outerwrap the same. There is something about the RS 66 sound that I'm not too fond of. I'm more a fan of DR Hi Beams.

I prefer regular 45-105 roto's rathen then the heavier 110 E of the sheehan gauged version. I'd actually be more inclined to go to next lighter gauge set if I was going to change form the 45-105. But if you like heavier gauge E string you might like the sheehan set.

These also have a lighter g string for snappier pops and easier bends.

Same Rotosound stainless swing bass 66 strings.

They are the same, just a custom gauge.

I really like the BS set, but I usually go with the standard 45-105 since its easier to find.

I like them for the .110 E. It can be a little stiff when in standard, but these are perfect for Drop D.

Outside of that, they're the stereotypical Rotosound steel string. A lot of mids without harsh brightness for a steel string. If you're using nickel wounds, they'll be super bright at first.
