Hi,
I was going to fit these strings to my P bass, but obviously i havent bought them yet. Do these strings sound good? I dont like Roundwounds to be honest, i like a good Rock thump.
So are they a good investment? Well they make playing sound better? |

| | | | They're good strings, but a little bright, I like them on a fretless but I didn't care to much for them on my fretted p. If you want good thump go for the fender 9050m or labella jamerson. |

Those who say that they are too bright, all strings are too bright at first. You have to break them in. My current set has been on for a little over 3 months and it is AWESOME! If you want old school, you want these.
.....IMO

They're bright for flatwounds, although not overly bright.
They're brighter than Fender 9050s if that helps you any.
I like them.
Mike

I often think of buying a set just to try them again. Even when I restrung my fretless I opted for Rotosound Solo Bass just for bit of added brightness. If you are unsure I'd maybe try them before you go for a Flatwound string.
Good luck |

on a Jazz-5 since day one. There is no better flat string IMHO.
Wipe them off every so often. |
