| Rotosound Gauges?

I've had trouble with string gauges for a while, and have now decided to purchase a set of Rotosound 66LD. I hate the twanginess of a .40 or .45 G string, but am worried about a 110 E being too boomy. Is there any compromise that Rotosound makes, or is there a compromise in another string maker.
