I nearly bought a set yesterday at GC, they were $50 there, though. I'm happy with Swing Bass strings, and $50 dollars was a little too much for an experiment. Next time, though.

They are all I use on my fretless, and I have a set on my Warwick Fortress One right now as well. They keep well for a long time and take all sorts of abuse.
If you bust a string while at a gig though, you are in trouble! They are not just a gimmick, they are my favorite strings, but they can be an inconvenience of you are in a hurry to string your bass.

It turned my Fender Jazz into a Fender Rhodes. Crazy... I don't know what to do!

Actually they were packaged under the name "superwounds".

I played them for a couple years - they lasted longer than rotos and didn't break as much.

I've been using them and im not quite sure about the recorded sound. Now that they are deadening up a bit they also do not sound as great. Makes me want some DR's on the bass.

Really great strings though! and If they were available locally I could see myself using them exclusively.

They also have this great spongy feel that I like a lot.

Arrow Roto Piano's........

For the money you put out for strings you shouldn't have to assemble them.
All Roto Rounds are wound on piano wire anyway so they can't sound that much different. I heard the sound bytes on the Roto website. The Swing Bass 66 series sound better than the Piano's in my opinion.
