Rotosound PSD 99 - what is a piano string design string

Hi,

Have seen these strings a few times but have never used , what is a piano design string?, are these strings any good? and does the different design change the tone? , do they sound brighter ?, last longer?, whats the deal with these strings

Piano String Design means that the core of the string is what contacts the bridge saddle. The current set they offer have adjustable ball ends so that you can determine the exact amount of core length for your specific bass.
