Rotosound RB45 - My problems

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I used to be a user of the fender super bass strings, then the website where I get them from were out of stock. I found some RB45s at £9. I bought two sets and i was happy. The fender strings last me around 4 gigs before I want to change them over. The first set of rotosounds lasted 2 gigs. But then I was doing a gig the other night with the other set of strings newly put on the gig before. About 30 seconds into our first song somehow the A string broke. I didnt have a backup bass as all my other basses have 6 month old strings and knowing my luck they would have broken as well.

It isnt to do with a burr on the bridge etc so I had to use someone elses bass which tbh was horrible, but atleast I still could play.

My lesson learnt,

Dont use Rotosound RB45s
When I get my second Mike Dirnt custom bass use it as a backup.(which i was going to do anyway)
