Rotosound RN66LD vs RN66LDN Is there a difference between these? The LDN has the blue package that looks similar to the other rotos. The LD is the orange and black package with the British flag. |
The N set is nickel plated steel, the regular set is stanless steel. |

I don't think this is a mistake. I've seen these strange sets in GC and they are actually packaged like the stainless swing bass sets I used to buy in the 1990's. Maybe it's something special for Guitar Center only. Slapinfunk might know why they do this. |
Ahh, see the link there is broken and I did not see the packaging. Possibly a cheaper set a la Rotobass (not rotobass tho, don't misunderstand) made in bulk for GC the have a good price on them. |
These are the sets in question: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Rotosoun...47-i1166963.gc In the 1990's this was the packaging for all the swing bass sets I ever bought. |
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f16/da...ickels-801328/ Seems either GC still has old sets or has not updated their wepages in some time for these particular strings. The new designation 66LDN does not find anyhting on the GC website. |
The set linked in that package is literally generations of packaging old... |
Way to go GC! |
Haha, my local GC has some with that packaging |
