the strings on my ibanez have begun to lose their tone, and they feel pretty uncomfortable. i currently use ernie ball slinkies. but i found these strings on guitarcenter.com, and they looked pretty sick. has anyone had any experience with them? how do they sound/differ from my current strings? will these sound good on a gsr200?

They are quite punchy. Huge mid-hump kind of frequency response. Just think Iron Maiden, really.

Also, Roto flats are very high tension, especially with the heavy gauge of these particular strings.

They're my favorite flats, very punchy for flats, too.

i have heard heavy gauge may have problems on a bass not set up for them. should i fear my bass becoming damaged from them or what?

the neck could bow, but that adjustable in most case, if not is not something that can not be repaired for cheap
