I'm about to change my strings... I've been playing with Dean's Blue Steel and now I really want to try the Rotos.
I need help from you guys, I know these are very good strings... but I don't know what would be best for my Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass (4) MIM, stainless or nickel???
Thanks a lot.

Try them both, decide which one you like.

There is no best, but I prefer the steel Rotos on my Jazz deluxe.

nickels are mellow to my ears, and steels have more attack.

Rotosounds are my new favorite string now, and I used DM Blue Steel for years in the past (and never will use them again after playing Rotos).

The dean markley blue steels are among the brightest sounding strings out there. Rotos will sound much much darker then them. That said, I prefer the rotosound stainless steels.
