Rotosound Solo Bass strings...

Sign in to disble this ad
In my quest for half round/compressed/pressure wound strings for my 5-string fretless I came across the Rotosound Solo Bass strings... any one have any experience with these?

Any other thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated as well. The only other 5'ers I've sen are the Smith's and they seem pretty hard to find.

Thanks,
Chris

I used them once on a fretted bass
bright, but rather midrangy sound - useful. less finger noise than on roundwounds. Tight feel
I liked them

Give them a try, I think you'll like them for fretless. You can listen to a soundclip at the rotosound website here:
